Sudbury is Akita’s nearest market town, about 7 miles south of our base in Lavenham, or around 15 minutes by road. We install, service and repair air conditioning for homes and businesses right across the town, from the streets around Market Hill to the estates of Great Cornard and the business parks at Chilton.

Sudbury has a real mix of housing, and each type has its own quirks:
| Property type | Where you’ll find it | What it means for air conditioning |
|---|---|---|
| Georgian and older townhouses | Around Market Hill, Gainsborough Street, Friars Street | Often in the conservation area; outdoor units usually go at the rear, and some homes are listed |
| Victorian and Edwardian terraces | Streets off the town centre and towards the station | Narrow plots and shared walls; careful unit placement so neighbours aren’t disturbed |
| Post-war and 1970s–90s homes | Great Cornard, Chilton, northern Sudbury | Usually straightforward, back-to-back installs; ideal for a virtual survey |
| Newer builds | Edges of town | Good insulation, so a small system goes a long way; check any estate covenants |
Upstairs bedrooms in terraced and modern homes are a classic problem: they hold the heat on summer nights. A single wall-mounted unit that also heats in winter is often the answer. See home air conditioning.
