Our name came from a job. A customer’s American Akita, the friendliest dog on any site we’d visited, came to say hello while we worked, and the name stuck. Akitas and huskies are built for the cold, and their arctic, Japanese character felt right for a company that lives and breathes cooling.
We chose a distinctive name rather than a surname on purpose. Akita is a brand built to stand for one thing: premium air conditioning, installed properly and looked after for years.
How we work
- Our team from start to finish. No sales reps and no hand-offs. Our engineers survey, quote, install and commission your system, and are the ones you call afterwards.
- Honest advice. If a single unit will do, we won’t sell you two. If a repair makes more sense than a replacement, we’ll say so.
- Clear, fixed prices. We publish our prices, and quotes are fixed once we’ve surveyed.
- Care for your home. Dust sheets down, neat pipework, and the room left as we found it.
- Local and accountable. We live and work in the area we serve, and our reputation depends on it.
Cold. Heat.
Perfected.
