Does air conditioning heat as well as cool?

Yes. Every system we fit is a heat pump — it runs in reverse in winter and is far cheaper to run than an electric heater. Plenty of our customers use theirs more for heating than cooling.

Do I need planning permission?

For most domestic installations, no — it usually falls under permitted development. Listed buildings and conservation areas are the exception, and Suffolk has plenty of both. Tell us and we’ll advise before you commit.

How long does an installation take?

A single room is normally one day. Multi-room systems take longer depending on the pipe runs. We’ll give you a realistic figure with the quote, not an optimistic one.

Why is there no VAT?

Domestic installations of this type are currently zero-rated, so the price you’re quoted for a home install is the total. Commercial work is quoted plus VAT.

What if my job is awkward?

Long pipe runs, thick walls, restricted outdoor space, listed properties — these are worth a phone call rather than a form. Call us and we’ll tell you honestly whether it’s straightforward.

Do I have to have the annual service?

You don’t have to, but the 5-year product warranty depends on it. It also keeps the system running at the efficiency you paid for.

Which brands do you fit?

Daikin and Mitsubishi Electric only. Both are manufacturer-backed, widely supported, and we know them inside out — which matters more for servicing than for the install.

Can you service a system you didn’t install?

Yes. We service and repair most makes, not only our own work.
