Halstead and its villages are full of character, and that brings a few things to plan for:
- The town centre and the hill up from the river. Halstead’s centre, around the High Street and the old Courtauld mill, is a conservation area with many listed buildings. Braintree District Council is the planning authority. We’ll look at discreet routes and positions and advise whether consent is likely; you or your agent apply.
- Weavers’ cottages and Victorian terraces with solid walls and small yards, where outdoor-unit positions need care to keep neighbours happy.
- Post-war and modern housing on the edges of town, typically simple installs that can often be priced from a free virtual survey.
- Castle Hedingham, Earls Colne and Gosfield. Historic villages, many off mains gas, where an air source heat pump is worth considering.

Home installs start from £1,300 for one room (prices). Our heat pump service covers air-to-air and air-to-water, and on air-to-water jobs our plumbing partner takes on the water side. Servicing is through the Comfort Club at £14.99 per unit per month.
