How we deliver a cold room
- Site survey. We look at the space, access, the stock you’ll store, how often doors will open and where the refrigeration plant can go. The survey is free.
- Design and quote. A clear proposal covering room size and construction, temperature range, refrigeration equipment and a fixed price.
- Installation. We build the cold room, install the refrigeration units and pipework, and commission the system to your temperature requirements.
- Handover. We show you the controls and alarms and provide documentation and F-Gas records.
Servicing, repairs and upgrades
We service and repair existing cold rooms and refrigeration systems, including ones we didn’t install:
- Planned servicing and maintenance contracts
- Fault diagnosis and repairs
- System upgrades and replacements
Repairs are booked during our normal working hours, Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm. We don’t currently offer an out-of-hours emergency service. Regular servicing is the best protection against unexpected failures and lost stock.
Food safety and compliance
Properly maintained refrigeration helps you hold safe temperatures and keep records that support your food safety obligations. All refrigerant work is carried out to F-Gas regulations. Akita AC Ltd is REFCOM registered (REF1023379).

How much does a cold room cost?
It depends on size, temperature range and specification. We give a fixed quote after a free site survey.
Can you install a freezer room as well as a chiller?
Yes. We design and install both chilled and frozen rooms.
Do you offer maintenance contracts?
Yes. We offer planned maintenance for cold rooms and commercial refrigeration.
Can you take over servicing from another company?
Yes. We service and repair most common refrigeration equipment.
